Son Charged In Valentine's Day Murder Of His Mother
BROOKLYN, Md. (WJZ) -- Police came to an Anne Arundel County home expecting a burglary Thursday afternoon but what they found turned out to be so much more.
Valentine's Day in Brooklyn was violent as police found 52-year-old Dona Faulkner dead in her home.
Her son, 25-year-old Brent Faulkner, called 911, saying that he found his mother dead along with a man running out of the home.
A police investigation said otherwise.

When the victim died from sharp-force trauma, the accused killer greeted police with evidence on his body and clothes, including blood and cuts.
Court documents said that Faulkner tried to clean up the scene before calling the police.
A broken knife which matched other kitchen knives was found close to Dona Faulkner's body.
Charged with first, and second-degree murder, Faulkner has an extensive history of violence involving his mother, including an incident when he tried to poison her.
Still, the motive for Thursday's particular crime is unknown.
Faulkner's bail hearing wrapped up on Friday. He is being held without bail.
