Black Ice Creates School Delays, Commuting Troubles
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Roads were slippery and many school systems had delayed openings Tuesday after a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet moved across the region Monday.
Black ice coated some side streets, side walks and parking lots Tuesday morning.
A handful of Baltimore City schools did not open due to ongoing facility issues, but the rest of the district opened two hours late.

The National Weather Service warned drivers to assume that anything wet may be ice.
"It's all black ice, you can't really see what's safe and what isn't," resident Annie Adoryan said. "It's pretty bad, it looks like they've got salt on streets but sidewalks are all frozen, side streets frozen as well."
"It's treacherous I have a 4 x 4 truck and I tried to come up the road and actually went backwards," one man said.
