Shots Fired At Car On Route 50
CHEVERLY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say someone fired shots at a car on Route 50 in the Cheverly area of Prince George's County.
Three men told police they were traveling eastbound on Route 50 near Kenilworth Avenue around 4 a.m. Sunday in a Chevrolet Monte Carlo when a green 1990s Chevrolet Malibu pulled in front of them and a man in the back seat stared at them.
The driver of the Monte Carlo pulled into the next lane and passed the Malibu. That's when the men told police they heard gunshots and they sped away until a flat tire stopped them.
They called police, who found that their car had been hit on the bumper and trunk.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the Malibu or the incident to call 301-345-3101.
