Shootings Leave 2 Dead, 1 Critically Injured In D.C.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A series of five shootings have left two men dead and at least one critically injured in Washington.
Police say Anthony Sanchez of northwest Washington was shot in Columbia Heights early Saturday morning. He was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle and died.
Two other men were shot early Saturday in southeast Washington. Police say 30-year-old Derrick Scott of Capitol Heights, Md., was killed.
On Saturday night, four people were wounded in a shooting in southeast Washington. Police say one was in serious or critical condition.
