Sheriff's Office Arrests Man In Taneytown Stabbing
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- A Westminster man has been arrested and charged with a stabbing in March at a private house in Taneytown.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office announced Saturday that Brian Keith McIntyre, 23, is charged with first-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon for the March 3 assault.
During the incident, deputies were called to the Carroll Hospital Center for a patient suffering from a stab wound. The victim was a 26-year-old man. He told police he was at a party outside of Taneytown when he tried to break up an argument and remove several people from the party.
Authorities say a struggle that ensued drew a crowd of more than 20 spectators. The victim was stabbed in the struggle.
