Senate Panel To Hold Hearing On Purple Line
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland Senate committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on the Purple Line project.
The Senate Budget and Taxation Committee is scheduled to get an overview from the Maryland Department of Transportation on Thursday.
The department will talk about the public-private pre-solicitation report for the transit project.
The Purple Line is a proposed 16-mile light rail line with 21 stations between Bethesda and New Carrollton.
It's estimated to cost about $2.15 billion.
