School Bus Drivers Face Off This Weekend
LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Top school bus drivers from across North America will face off in a safety competition in Maryland this weekend.
The School Bus Driver International Safety Competition will be held Saturday and Sunday in a parking lot near Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
More than 100 school bus drivers from the United States and Canada will compete for recognition in three categories: transit, conventional and small bus. All participants have placed in the top 10 in safety competitions in their own state or province.
The annual competition began in 1971 as the National School Bus Safety Road-e-o.
