Santa's Elves Give Back To Dundalk Area Families During The Holidays
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)—Santa's Elves are out in Baltimore County, and it's all about helping others during the holidays.
Ron Matz has more on a special delivery in Dundalk for those in need.
Santa and Mrs. Claus are on a mission with Santa's Elves, a Dundalk charity that helps the needy for the holidays.
"We give out food, gifts and even Christmas trees. We do it all. Some families need food. Some need gifts. Some need everything. We help them out as much as we can. Last year we helped 78 families and 178 children with toys and food," said Bob Schoener, Santa's Elves.
The Clauses ride around in a 1957 Chevy truck with a special license. Their super sled was made years ago.
"It's a labor of love. It's a lot of work, but it was worth it," Schoener said.
Last year Santa's Elves helped nearly 200 Dundalk area families.
"Santa's Elves is a charity that helps families who are less fortunate. It's great. I do it every year to see families to be able to have a Christmas is what it's all about," Schoener said.
This is the 18th year for Santa's Elves. Toys and food were distributed in front of the Big Lots store in Dundalk.
