Woman, State Trooper Injured In 2-Car Collision On Route 50
EASTON, Md. (WJZ)—Maryland State Police continue to investigate a two-car collision on Route 50 involving a state trooper and a Talbot County woman.
Adam May reports the accident happened just before 3 p.m. Monday.
Preliminary investigation indicates Gail Mills, 65, was driving a 2002 Ford van on westbound Rt. 50 when she made a left turn on Dutchman's Lane, colliding with an unmarked 2009 Ford Crown Victoria driven by state trooper Det. Sgt. Kevin Beauchamp, 43, in the eastbound lane.
The crash occurred in the intersection of eastbound Rt. 50 and Dutchman's Lane.
Both drivers were flown to Shock Trauma. Mills is listed in serious condition and Beauchamp has been released from the hospital.
There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
Beauchamp is assigned to the La Plata Barrack.
