Ross Grimsley Talks Orioles Pitching, Trade Deadlines & Gallardo
Gausman, Tillman and Gallardo, oh my! Ross Grimsley joined Vinny & Rob to talk Orioles pitching and trade deadlines as the team heads into the second half of the season.
Chris Tillman has been the stopper many times this season. Grimsley comments, "He is one of the main reasons the Orioles are in first place. His command is not the greatest overall...and he gets a little erratic at times...but I think he was deserving of the All-Star team, and it's a shame he didn't make it."
Grimsley also thinks Gallardo means well, but he needs to slow down and refocus. "He just didn't take the time he needed to get ready, and he ended up straining his shoulder. His stuff is better now than it's been all year...but I think he feels so good that he's thinking more velocity than location," said Grimsley.
Grimsley talks about how the Orioles need to draft better players and expand their scouting team, Gallardo's return and using Bundy later in the season.
