Rocky Gap Lodge Names New General Manager
FLINTSTONE, Md. (AP) -- The new owner of the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort near Cumberland is installing a new general manager to oversee the resort's transition to casino gambling.
Lakes Entertainment Inc. of Minnetonka, Minn., said Thursday that Scott Just will take over in the new year.
Just is currently a vice president with Lakes Entertainment. He'll continue to coordinate the company's gambling activities. He previously worked with International Game Technology and Harrah's casinos.
Lakes Entertainment announced last week it had secured $17.5 million in financing to convert convention space at Rocky Gap into a casino, create new meeting rooms at the lodge and refurbish the lobby and guest rooms.
The company says it expects to open the Rocky Gap casino in the second quarter of 2013 with 550 slot machines.
