Robbery At Mall & Murder In Baltimore May Be Connected
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A robbery at the Mall in Columbia and a murder in Baltimore are two seemingly unrelated crimes that may be connected.
WJZ's media partner, The Baltimore Sun, reports the getaway car used in the holdup at the mall belonged to Derek Jones, 25.
Detectives say Jones was questioned about the robbery the following day, then killed outside a West Baltimore barbershop a few hours later.
Right now, police aren't commenting on how the robbery might affect the murder investigation.
