Rob Long: Ravens/Steelers Week
There cannot be a season when the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers play and national television does not take advantage of the rivalry. Yes, I said rivalry. Do we REALLY have to revisit this? It's a rivalry in EVERY sense of the word. And once again, it's quite meaningful.
The Ravens beat the Steelers 26-6 in week two of the season. That is not the norm for this series. What is the norm is these two teams splitting. The Steelers swept the Ravens in 2008 and the Ravens swept the Steelers in 2011. As many listeners pointed out, that means it's time for the Ravens to get a sweep since there's one every three years.
The Ravens will likely be without Owen Daniels and Jimmy Smith is out with an injured ankle. Terrell Suggs missed the week. The injury report reads "neck" for Suggs. These are all huge for the Ravens. The Pittsburgh Steelers on the other hand seem relatively healthy from a week eight roster that posted 51 points against Indy.
