Rob Long: Ravens/Steelers
The Baltimore Ravens are preparing to take on their arch nemesis this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. The Pittsburgh Steelers come into town sporting a two game losing streak without Ben Roethlisberger. Both Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch have failed to deliver in relief.
What the past two weeks have proven is that Big Ben is one of the more valuable players in the National Football League. He means about as much to the Steelers as anyone means to one team. With him out, the Ravens will roll on Sunday.
The Steelers defense is one of the best in the league, but no defense is effective if they're on the field for a long time. Batch can't sustain drives.
Joe Flacco will put up good numbers on Sunday. Torrey Smith will get behind the Steelers secondary and if Joe can get time, he'll connect with him for some big gains.
Ray Rice will get some carries, but don't expect him to have a big game. I'm looking at about 17 carries and around 3.7 yards per carry.
The Ravens defense will be good enough, like they've been for the past four weeks. They'll get to Batch enough for him not to get any rhythm. Look for them to force at least two turnovers.
