Business Offers Reward In Fatal Hit-And-Run
PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- Calls for action after an Anne Arundel County teen was killed by a hit-and-run driver. A local business offers a reward to help catch that driver and a local lawmaker is pushing for new safety measures along the stretch of road where it happened.

As Anne Arundel County police search for the driver responsible in this fatal accident, some citizens with big hearts are trying to help the victim's family get justice.
This busy stretch of Mountain Road in Pasadena is where 15-year-old Skylar Marion and a 13-year-old girl were hit by a car on April 12 as the two walked together. Marion died of his injuries. The girl survived, but the driver never stopped.
"The child was walking on the grass. It's the person who swerved off the road and hit a child and then left, that's what we need to focus on," said Dawn Caley.
Christina Mitchell and her boss, Karen Smith, are focused on finding the hit-and-run driver. Smith and her husband own a towing company and are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible.
"We're hoping that it'll give some incentive for someone to come forward with information to help the police find whoever's responsible," Mitchell said.
Marion's family says Mountain Road is dangerous. Some believe sidewalks should be constructed for pedestrians to use.
Investigators believe the vehicle that hit the teens is a 1997-2002 Ford Expedition that could have damage to the hood, passenger headlight and passenger side quarter panel.
"If we do hit something or someone, then we need to stop and be held accountable for our actions and help someone if we've hurt them," Smith said.
"It'd be a lot safer places around the world if people turn around and just cared a little bit. Nobody cares any more," said Mike Marion, Skylar's father.
Funeral services for Skylar Marion will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Lake Shore Church in Pasadena.
