Report Due This Week On Domestic Violence In Montgomery Co.
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A report out this week looks at whether victims of domestic violence are properly treated in the Montgomery County court system.
The report is being released Thursday morning by Court Watch Montgomery, an all-volunteer nonprofit focused on protecting domestic violence victims and their children.
The study argues that county judges in many cases don't use nationally recognized best practices to protect domestic violence victims.
The group's executive director, Laurie Duker, will share the study's findings Thursday in front of the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
