Rep. Andy Harris Endorses GOP Presidential Candidate Carson

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- Maryland Rep. Andy Harris is endorsing Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson.

Carson's campaign announced on its website Wednesday that Harris is endorsing his fellow physician. In a statement, Harris says Carson "will restore America to greatness."

Harris is the sole Republican in Maryland's Congressional delegation and his district includes the Eastern Shore and parts of central and northern Maryland. He worked as a physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the same hospital where Carson gained fame as a neurosurgeon.
