Remains Found In Md. Confirmed As Those Of Va. Man
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say they've found the remains in Frederick of a man who disappeared from northern Virginia nearly two years ago.
The skeletal remains, found by a tree-trimming crew in August, have been confirmed as those of Oscar Velasco Montano, 29.
He was last seen in July 2011 at a construction job at Tysons Corner Center in McLean.
Capt. Tim Clarke of the Frederick County Sheriff's Office tells the Frederick News-Post that Fairfax County police are investigating Montano's death as a homicide.
He says Montano was identified through DNA testing. Authorities haven't released the cause of death yet.
