Rejected Slots Bidder Drops Request For Injunction
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A rejected bidder for a site for a slots casino in Baltimore has dropped its request for an injunction to stop the process for finding a developer.
A lawyer for the Baltimore City Entertainment Group said Wednesday the group has withdrawn its request for an injunction. A hearing had been set for Thursday.
BCEG said it decided to withdraw its request after state regulators said they would release a $3 million fee submitted with the company's initial bid.
BCEG was the only developer to submit an application for a 17-acre site near two sports stadiums in South Baltimore in 2009.
City officials are again seeking proposals for the slots site.
