Smith, who tore his Achilles nine months ago, will likely return to practice on Monday. However, the Ravens are not expecting to play Smith in the preseason.
Smith decided to delay his retirement for a year after suffering the season-ending season midway through the 2015 season.
Steve Smith Sr. is on the hunt for 1,000 receptions. Smith needs just 39 more to reach that milestone. If he comes back this season, which seems to be the goal, it's very likely break the record in his sixteenth season.
