Ravens To Send Lucky Fan To AFC Title Game In Foxborough
BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Baltimore is covered in purple as excitement builds for the playoffs. Fans are counting down the days to the AFC title game when the Ravens face the Patriots.
Jessica Kartalija explains how some lucky fans could win a trip to Sunday's game.
For the past couple of weeks we've been talking about how Baltimore is going purple. But now the Ravens are taking a big step and going gold.
A can of paint could be your ticket to Foxborough, Mass.
"One lucky fan will win a trip to Foxborough for two," said Katie Bollinger of Baltimore Ravens management. "So two tickets, airfare and travel totally taken care of."
Undercover artists with the Ravens are spreading out over five counties, painting gold Ravens logos in secret locations.
"We are posting pictures and clues on our Facebook page, and we are encouraging fans to put the pieces together and come out and find these stencils," Bollinger said. "Once you find the stencil, all you have to do is take your picture with the stencil, upload it to Facebook and that enters you to win."
The one at the Inner Harbor was unveiled on WJZ Wednesday morning.
"I said, 'You know, I know where this location is,'" one Ravens fan said. "So I threw on my jersey, threw on my hat, jumped on the subway and made it down here within a 10- to 12-minute period."
In Baltimore County, there's a face you may not expect to see. WJZ found one in Towson and so many people walked right by and didn't even see it.
Still others are seeing gold and hope they can make the trip to Foxborough.
"We are so excited that the Ravens may be going to the Super Bowl, so we are hoping to win tickets to see them at the playoff game against the Patriots!" said a fan.
"We just know they are going to win. We are so excited for them. They made it this far, they can go all the way!" said another.
You have until midnight to submit your pictures. The Ravens tell WJZ they already have about 300 pictures on their site. The winner will be announced Thursday morning.
You can see the Ravens face the Patriots on WJZ-13. The AFC Championship game starts Sunday at 3 p.m.
