Ravens Select WR Torrey Smith With 58th Pick
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- The Baltimore Ravens have taken wide receiver Torrey Smith of the University of Maryland in the second round of the NFL draft.
Smith went 58th overall Friday night. The speedy wideout left Maryland after his junior season and should be a welcome addition to a receiving crew that last year lacked a consistent long threat.
In 38 games at Maryland, Smith finished third in school history with 152 catches and second in receiving yards with 2,215.
The Ravens also were scheduled to pick 90th overall late Friday.
