Ravens RB Rice 'Day-To-Day' With Hip Injury
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- The Baltimore Ravens are counting on having injured running back Ray Rice available for Sunday's matchup with the unbeaten Houston Texans.
Rice strained his left hip flexor in Baltimore's 14-6 win over the Cleveland Browns. The three-time Pro Bowl star, who left the game in the fourth quarter, has not received an MRI.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh says, "We'll just be day-to-day with him."
Harbaugh says he might keep Rice out of practice this week before determining if he can play Sunday.
Backup Bernard Pierce compiled a team-high 57 yards rushing and a touchdown against Cleveland.
The Ravens (1-1) showed progress against the Browns coming off a lopsided loss to Denver, but Harbaugh says his team remains "a work in progress."
Houston (2-0) beat Baltimore last season 43-13.
