Ravens RB Ray Rice Leaves Game With Hip Flexor Strain
BALTIMORE (AP/WJZ) -- Ravens running back Ray Rice left the game Sunday against Cleveland with an apparent hip injury.
Rice went down without contact with 12:01 left and Baltimore leading 7-6 on Sunday. He stayed on the field for several minutes before being taken to the sideline and into the locker room.
Coach John Harbaugh later announced Rice suffered a hip flexor strain, and that no MRI is scheduled. He says the team is confident and optimistic about the injury.
At the time, he had 13 carries for 36 yards.
Rice is a three-time Pro Bowler who ranks second in Ravens history with more than 5,500 yards rushing.
