Ravens' Hopes Hinge On Stopping Roethlisberger
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- The Baltimore Ravens have tried just about everything in their unsuccessful bid to slow Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Last month, albeit quite accidentally, the Ravens broke Roethlisberger's nose. He shrugged off the injury, played the entire game and threw the decisive touchdown pass in Pittsburgh's 13-10 victory.
Roethlisberger and the Steelers host Baltimore on Saturday in the NFL playoffs. It will be the third meeting of the season between the AFC North rivals, and the Ravens' hopes of advancing hinge heavily upon stopping Roethlisberger.
The quarterback known as Big Ben has won six straight starts against Baltimore and is 8-2 lifetime against the Ravens.
Asked to explain his run of success, Roethlisberger says, "I guess I'm lucky."
