Ravens Fans Will Become Redskins Fans For A Day

The Ravens will not be play in Week Eight as they are on their bye week. With a 5-2 record, they hold the second best mark in the AFC. With the Ravens unable to keep separation with the other AFC contenders, here’s a list of teams fans should root for on Sunday.
Washington@ Pittsburgh
Most Ravens fans can’t stand the Redskins and vice versa. But the Ravens would love nothing more than for Washington to hand Pittsburgh another loss. A win would put Pittsburgh only one game behind Baltimore for the AFC North lead. With the way the Ravens have been playing lately, many fans aren’t too comfortable with that. RGIII may be able to get some points out of a defense that has looked slow and old. But the biggest factor will be whether the Redskins can contain Big Ben. When given time, Ben can be lethal on the ground or through the air.
Who to root for: Redskins
Chances of success: Moderate
New England @ St. Louis (Played in London)
The Ravens have already defeated the Patriots this year, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t a threat. Fans dreaming of a second Vince Lombardi trophy should hope the Rams are able to put on a show in London. The Patriots have struggled this season against inferior opponents. They recently lost to a Seattle Seahawks team that possesses inferior talent.
Look for St. Louis to gameplan around keeping the ball away from Tom Brady. If the running game is effective, the Rams can control the tempo of the game. Playing in London, both teams are out of their element. It’ll be interesting to see how both teams react to the situation. If lightning can strike twice, the Patriots will fall to 4-4 on the season. If they are able to pull out the victory, both New England and Baltimore will have 5 wins on the season.

Chance of success: Low
New Orleans @ Denver
It’ll be Peyton Manning vs. Drew Brees on Sunday Night Football. The Broncos have been inconsistent this season and currently hold a (3-3) record. If the Broncos find their identity against the Saints, it could mean trouble for Baltimore. The Ravens have always had problems with Manning. And with the two scheduled to meet later on this year, Baltimore fans should hope that the playoff implications of the matchup are minimal. Look for New Orleans to throw the ball early and often in hopes of taking Denver out of the game early. The Saints don’t have the defense that can be relied on in close games. If the saints can pull off the victory, it’ll knock the Broncos two games behind Baltimore in the standings.
