Ravens Fans Continue To Show Purple Pride Despite Weather
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Ravens fans are painting the town purple. Playoff events are going on everywhere. WJZ's Tracey Leong has the details.
Even with frigid temperatures, Ravens fans are outside showing that nothing gets in their way of showing their purple pride support.
Hundreds of Ravens fans line up at the Towson Town Center Mall for a chance to meet former Ravens players.
"They are loyal," former Ravens player, Chris McAlister said. "I've been gone for a while and when I come back they still give you a warm welcome."
Fans take their pictures with birds, Rise and Conquer, and show their spirit from head to toe.
"It's a great feeling to know we support them and I hope they know we are supporting them in the long run," fan Sara Millman said.
Fans are young and old, near and far.
"There's people I have seen all the way down from West Virginia, all the way up from PA, even in the dreaded Pittsburgh, still fans up there," fan Michael Anderson said.
Week two of the flock parties and Ravens fans show they just can't get enough of the purple pride.
When asked how many flock parties she's been to...
"Phew, all of them," Ravens fan, Sharon Harris said.
Former players and Super Bowl champions, Chris McAlister and Adalius Thomas are thrilled to be a part of the excitement.
"Takes me back to old memories from going to the Super Bowl in my rookie year to the time they went a couple years ago," Thomas said.
"Once again they coming in as a wildcard, so they've done it before and it reminds me of the season we had," McAlister said.
All eyes are on another big win.
"24-21 Ravens," McAlister said.
"Support the Ravens all the way, got Super Bowl 49 in the horizon," fan Michael Anderson said. "We going to make it to Arizona."
Tomorrow they will be out painting the town purple starting at 6 a.m. and then ending with a caravan that will last until 10 p.m.
