Ravens Fans All Over Maryland Are Getting Pumped For The Playoffs
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ)—Ravens fans are showing their purple pride all over Maryland. The team is preparing to face the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs this weekend.
Jessica Kartalija reports fans are painting the town purple.
The Ravens have left their mark outside the Towson courthouse. Meanwhile, fans are showing their pride all across town.
At DePalo and Sons in Northeast Baltimore, fans are stocking up.
"It's a great thing to have something to look forward to and something to cheer about," said Tony DePalo. "It's a great attitude the whole city is in. It couldn't be better!"
"I just got me a nice Ravens hat, yessir. Wonderful," said a customer.
"We are here to create excitement for Baltimore. It's exciting," said Dan McClure, DePalo and Sons.
Inside, there's everything you need to fire up a great tailgate.
"We have a full line of tailgate supplies, from chafing dishes to burners to chafing fuel, disposible plates, napkins, tablecloths," DePalo said.
In Towson, all signs point to the Ravens as crews continue to paint the town purple.
"Purple is a great color this time of year," said a Ravens fan.
"We are really excited, we just want to get the fans pumped up and that goes directly to the players," said Katie Bollinger, Baltimore Ravens.
Fans at DePalo's have a warning for Houston.
"Houston, you better bring your lunch because it's going to be a long day, a long day here in Baltimore," said a Ravens fan. "We do real work here in Baltimore."
