Randallstown Fire Leaves 16 Residents Homeless

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County fire officials say a two-alarm blaze at a Randallstown apartment complex has displaced about 16 residents.

Officials say they were called to the fire at the Rockdale Garden Apartments on Yennar Lane shortly after 2 a.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived to find the fire coming through the roof and quickly extinguished the flames.

Officials say third-floor units at the complex sustained fire damage, and the rest of building suffered water and smoke damage.

About 16 residents from 12 units have been displaced.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
