Rabid Ravens Fans Land In New Orleans For The Big Game
NEW ORLEANS (WJZ) -- Two charter flights arrived in New Orleans Friday afternoon from Baltimore, and fans could not be more thrilled to be in the Big Easy.
Jessica Kartalija reports.
Ravens fans arrive in the Big Easy, bringing plenty of purple with them.
"I'm very excited and we're going to win," a fan said.
"For every like 50 [Ravens fans] you see one 49ers fan," another said.
Fans say it's Baltimore on the Bayou.
"We're fired up. We're ready to go. It's been 13 years since we've been in a Super Bowl and we're looking forward to it," a fan said.
"I'm ready. I'm glad we're here. Driving through the town all I saw was purple," another said.
Some will never see the inside of the Superdome, but are here for the party.
"We came down in an RV. It took us about 19 hours driving, but we made it and now we're out here having a great time," a fan said.
"We don't have seats yet, we're working on it," another fan said.
And the Queen of the Mississippi is actually from Salisbury and just recently made its way here to New Orleans. So it's only appropriate that those fans should stay aboard for the remainder of their trip and of course, the Super Bowl.
