Quint Kessenich: Terps Are The 'Team To Beat' In NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament
ESPN Analyst & Reporter Quint Kessenich joined Norris and Davis to preview the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament
Maryland has five teams in the tournament this weekend. For the first time since 1987, the Maryland Terps were awarded the overall No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
"This group is playing really well. They're super talented. They're scoring more than they have in the past. I love their toughness. They're just gritty, and mentally strong and they love each other. This is a team Terps fans should be rallying around," said Kessenich.
Kessenich says the bracket is though, but with Maryland's experience and coaching he thinks they'll do very well.
Kessenich also said Towson has a good defense and great new coaching so he expects them to win the game on Wednesday's at 4 p.m. at Johnny Unitas Stadium against Hobart.
Back to Maryland's potential success, Kessenich said, "I targeted Maryland about three or four weeks ago as the top team in my poll, so I gotta stay with them. I'm really impressed by their chemistry and the way they love each other and you can see it in the way they play. The Terps are the team to beat."
ESPN will have all the games broadcast Saturday and Sunday on ESPNU.
