Quick Hits: NHL Playoffs, No New Stadium For Minnestota And A New Steeler
NHL playoffs Thursday night. The Capitals will try and even their series with the Bruins at the Verizon Center as Boston took back home ice advantage in game 3. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Three other game 4s-the Devils host the Panthers with Florida leading 2 games to 1. The Blackhawks are in the Windy City to face the Coyotes as Phoenix will try and go up 3 games to 1, and the Sharks get a visit from the Blues trying to tie the series up at 2.
One day after the Vikings' hopes for a new stadium were dashed by the Minnesota state government, the NFL responded, saying get it done or face the consequences. Those could be moving the team out of Minnesota.
It's not much of a shock, but the Colts have confirmed that they will make Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck the number one overall selection next week.
Mike Wallace will most likely be a Steeler in 2012. He must get an offer sheet by Friday, but no teams have made a run at the Pro Bowl wideout. Wallace's tender is $2.7 million for this upcoming season.
