Purple Reigns In Baltimore County Government Buildings
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—With four straight years in the playoffs, the Ravens have the longest post-season streak in the league right now. And they believe this year's team may be the best they've had.
Kai Jackson shows us the building excitement among fans.
The Ravens are fired up and ready for Sunday's game against the Texans. Judging by how much you see the color purple around town, fans are ready, too.
In the hallowed halls of Baltimore County government, purple reigns. It's where Dutch Ruppersberger dons purple. Spiro Agnew does, too.
With a playoff game against the Houston Texans coming on Sunday, it's the kinds of purple passion that's gripped the state. And it appears to be contagious. As the saying goes, maybe it's something in the water.
"Ray Rice is in his groove. Ray Lewis is still good to go. We've got a great team," said Sandi Isner, Ravens fan.
With Ravens decorations everywhere you look, Baltimore County workers are in the middle of a battle themselves, decorating the building.
Workers even sport a Flacco mustache.
For county code-enforcement officers Kenny Chen and Ryan Fisher, "Ball So Hard University" is in. They've got a mock schedule of classes taught by Ravens players.
"It's already there. We're winning. We're going all the way," said Jerry Chen, Ravens fan.
But Houston fans are already talking tough.
"We got too much emotion on this game. I don't think they want it as much as we do," said PJ Simien, Texans fan.
"I think the bad Flacco will show up and it's all going to go in the Texans' favor," said Paula Raskie, Texans fan.
To that, one Ravens fan said "Give them a little Ray-Ray right there."
You can see the Ravens take on the Texans on WJZ-13. The game starts Sunday at 1 p.m.
