Baltimore Police Capture City's Latest 'Public Enemy No. 1'
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore's latest "Public Enemy No. 1" is now behind bars. Police arrested the 19-year-old early Thursday morning.

Police say Capone Chase is a member of the Black Guerrilla Family gang. He's wanted for the brutal murder of a man in Greektown.
Days after being named Baltimore City's "Public Enemy No. 1," early Thursday morning police arrested 19-year-old Capone Chase in West Baltimore. Chase, a member of the Black Guerrilla Family gang, was wanted for the cold-blooded killing of 21-year-old Ramon Rodriguez.
WJZ spoke with one of Rodriguez's friends, who did not want to be identified.
"They were definitely going to catch him. There's too many people out here that love Ramon," the woman said.
According to neighbors, Chase and Rodriguez were friends. But on July 13, detectives say Chase lured Rodriguez to a playground in Greektown, made him empty his pockets, then shot him execution style in front of his pregnant girlfriend.
"He had a baby on the way. That baby little girl will never know her father because this man took his life," the woman said.
Chase is the second "Public Enemy No. 1" named by Baltimore Police. The department began using the tactic after a burst of summer violence.
Their first target, 25-year-old Darryl Anderson--another BGF member, was captured by U.S. Marshals in Alabama.
In both cases, tips from the public helped track them down.
"It's those tips. It's calling in anonymously and just letting us know," said Det. Angela Carter-Watson, Baltimore City Police.
But community members say the arrests only give them a small sense of comfort.
"It's never a sense of closure when it's affiliated with different things," the woman said.
They say BGF is terrorizing the community, and people are afraid.
"Most people are scared. But if you don't speak up for your community, who will?" the woman said.
Chase is facing a list of charges, including first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Capone Chase had only been out of jail for two days before Ramon Rodriguez was murdered.
