Problems In Chicago? Brad Biggs Goes Inside The Bears Locker Room
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to give his thoughts on Jason the Bears benching Jay Cutler in favor of Jimmy Clausen, who is 1-9 as a starter. Scott asked Brad to sum up the Bears 2014 season; Brad couldn't find many positive words. "The Chicago Bears are having an unimaginably chaotic ending to a season gone wrong guys. They're 5-9; they've lost 6 of their last 8 games. They've got an offensive coordinator who has basically ostracized himself from the organization but is still employed. And they're benching a quarterback they signed to a massive seven year contract less than 12 months ago."
Scott brought up the Chicago fire as a comparison to the Bears season; Brad views it more as a dumpster fire. "It is a multi-alarm dumpster fire that's for sure. They've got all sorts of problems because their quarterback is the highest paid player in the league this year, and he leads the NFL in turnovers. They've signed a Wide Receiver (Brandon Marshall) to a big contract extension when he was still under contract this year. He played poorly before getting injured and he was critical of the quarterback. The defense is a tattered mess, are they going to pay Jared Allen twelve and half million dollars next year?"
