Printing Firm Adding Up To 30 Jobs In Western Md.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Printing company Lehigh Phoenix says it's expanding its Hagerstown plant as it moves production from Rockaway, N.J., to its western Maryland headquarters complex.

The Washington County Economic Development Commission said Friday that the 28,000-square-foot addition will add 20 to 30 jobs.

That would bring the company's employment in Hagerstown to about 400.

Lehigh Phoenix says it expects to complete the expansion and transition from Rockaway by mid-April.

The company specializes in book covers and other multi-color printing jobs such as catalogs, postcards and game boards.

Lehigh Phoenix is a wholly owned subsidiary of Visant Corp. of Armonk, N.Y.
