Prayer Vigil Held As Governor Hogan Begins Chemotherapy
BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- The outpouring of support continues in the wake of Governor Larry Hogan's cancer diagnosis.
Tonight supporters gathered in prayer for the governor's strength during his fight.

He's known for beating out the odds. Now, Governor Larry Hogan faces his toughest battle yet: cancer.
It's a fight he will not face alone.
"He's a fighter. I've been on the campaign trail with him. And this is only a speed hump for the governor. We know he's going to do very well," said Del. Bob Long.
Last week, the governor stunned the state revealing he has b-cell non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. An aggressive but treatable disease.
Tonight hundreds of supporters gathered in Annapolis near the governor's home--- lifting the state's leader in prayer.
"My faith tradition tells me that if we pray and if we believe, miraculous things happen," said Tony Campbell, Maryland Black Republican Council.
Supporters continue to wish Governor Hogan well throughout the state.
"We will be #HoganStrong for our governor," Maryland State Senator Johnny Ray Salling said.
State Senator and fellow Republican Johnny Ray Sailing gathered with others at an event in in Edgewater to support the governor and his family.
Over in west Baltimore, church goers bowed their heads to pray for his speedy recovery.
Hogan posting on Facebook Sunday morning, he's completed his first 24 hours of chemo and is feeling healthy and strong... it goes on to say,"With my faith, my family, and my army of incredible friends and supporters, I have every confidence that we will win this battle."
Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford has already begun to step up where needed.
"I think everyone in the governor's senior staff has had to pick it up just a little bit to compensate and then also to try to keep him focused on his health," Boyd said.
Governor Hogan's recovery now the top priority on the agenda.
The governor originally planned to start chemotherapy on Monday but opted to begin his treatments this weekend.
