Power Restored At The National Mall In Washington
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Authorities say power has been restored to the southwest corner of the National Mall in Washington.
Pepco spokesman Bob Hainey said power was restored about 10:30 a.m. Friday. Hainey says the outage occurred when a construction crew cut through an underground electrical cable at 22nd Street and Constitution Avenue.
U.S. Park Police officers had been posted to direct traffic through intersections that were affected by the outage.
