Police: Woodbine Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash
MARRIOTTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police are investigating a motorcycle crash near Alpha Ridge Park that killed the rider.
Police say Gary Lynch, 45, of Woodbine, Md., crashed his motorcycle Sunday evening while riding on State Route 99. Police say the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a sign post.
Lynch was transported to Howard County General Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation shows failure to drive within a single lane and speed as the primary cause of the crash.
