Police Search For Driver In Balt. Co. Hit-And-Run
HALETHORPE, Md. (WJZ) -- A hit-and-run in Baltimore County seriously injured three people. Now detectives are searching for the driver.
As Gigi Barnett reports, investigators believe the car involved will lead them to the suspect.
Baltimore County Police say John Anthony Jarboe, 24, was behind the wheel on Jan. 8 when his car slammed into three people in a parking lot. Those three victims were immediately taken to Shock Trauma.
Now they want Jarboe behind bars and his car off the street.
"We've since obtained an arrest warrant for him for obstruction and hindering," said Lt. Robert McCullough, Baltimore City Police.
Police say the wreck happened just after 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the Fish Head Cantina, just off Benson Avenue.
Police are looking for Jarboe's car, a 2009 Nissan Altima with Maryland license tag 4ESK94.
Investigators say they've reached out to Jarboe, without any luck.
"Police have made numerous attempts to speak with the suspect in this case and he's failed to cooperate with us," McCullough said.
Police are searching auto body shops for Jarboe's vehicle. They believe he may try to cover up the damage.
"We believe that that car possibly has front-end damage and damage to the windshield of the vehicle," McCullough said. 'We're asking any repair shops that may have repaired recently a gray 2009 Nissan Altima to give the Baltimore County Police Department a call."
Baltimore County police say anyone with information about the hit-and-run should call them at 410-307-2020.
