Police Probe Apparent Drowning Of 2-Year-Old Boy
DENTON, Md. (AP) -- Police in Denton are investigating the death of a 2 -year-old boy, who apparently drowned at a pool at his home.
Officers called to the home in Denton on Monday evening found the boy in front of the home on Third Street with a family friend who was performing CPR. Officers took over until EMS arrived and took the boy to Memorial Hospital of Easton, where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the boy as Xavier Anthony Dawson.
Investigators say his body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Authorities say an investigation is ongoing.
