Police: Officer Shoots Man At Aberdeen Hotel
ABERDEEN, Md. (AP) -- Police in Harford County say an officer shot a man who pointed a gun at him outside a motel.
Aberdeen police say officers were called to the Economy Inn on South Philadelphia Road late Monday after getting reports of someone firing shots near the motel.
Officers confronted a man in the parking lot and police say that man pointed a handgun at them. That's when police say one officer shot the man in the upper body.
The man was taken to a local hospital and then transported to Shock Trauma.
No one else was injured in the shooting. The officer has been placed on routine administrative duties during an investigation of the shooting.
