Police Need Help Finding Armed Robbery Suspects
COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police are still searching for the suspect who robbed people waiting to pay their rent.
Weijia Jiang has more.
For nine people waiting in line to pay rent at the rental office of a Cockeysville apartment complex, a bold armed robbery would change their lives.
"When I turned around, I see a guy with a gun, pointing his gun at me," said Kenneth Skinner.
Skinner was one of the victims. He was paying his mother's rent at 9 a.m. on Dec. 27.
"I had money in my pocket, but I also had a rent check in my pocket, a money order, and I knew they couldn't do nothing with it, so I just gave him that and got out of there," Skinner said.
It's been nearly a month since, with no promising leads. Police say security cameras didn't capture any pictures.
Now the company that owns the complex and Metro Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of $4,500 for tips leading to a conviction of the suspects.
"The suspects in this case were described as four black males, approximately 25 to 35 years of age," said Baltimore County Police Lt. Rob McCullough.
It's believed they may have left the location in a silver or gray four-door SUV.
"She was shocked. She couldn't believe that really happened around here," said Gabe Garcia.
Garcia's girlfriend was also in the line. He's just glad she wasn't hurt.
"She was in front so she wasn't able to see everything in back. So that worked out for her," Garcia said.
