Police Investigating Series Of Commercial Burglaries Overnight In East Columbia
COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ/HOWARD COUNTY POLICE)—Howard County police are investigating a series of commercial burglaries and burglary attempts that occurred overnight in East Columbia.
During the overnight hours between Tuesday and Wednesday, an unknown suspect or suspects shattered glass at the front of 11 restaurants and businesses, taking cash from many of those locations.
Because many of the burglaries took place in the same area, police believe the following incidents may be related:
- 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way:
Tan Stand: Front glass door of business shattered. Cash was taken.
Pei Wei: Front glass door of business shattered. Unknown what was taken at this time.
Max Muscle: Glass at front of business shattered. Cash was taken.
LA Boxing: Glass at front of business shattered. Cash was taken.
Sport Clips: Glass at front of business shattered. Unknown what was taken at this time.
Qdoba: Glass at front of business shattered. Cash was taken.
- 9400 block of Snowden River Parkway:
Domino's Pizza: Glass at front of business shattered. Nothing taken from business.
Comics to Astonish: Front glass door of business shattered. Nothing taken from the business.
Royal Pizza: Front glass door of business shattered. Registers and cash taken.
- 6900 block of Oakland Mills Road:
Ledo's Pizza: Front glass of business was shattered, but no entry was gained.
- 6400 block of Dobbin Road:
Sushi King: Front glass door of business shattered. Cash was taken.
Detectives are actively investigating and are asking anyone who may have information to call the tip line at 410-313-STOP. Callers may remain anonymous.
