Police Investigating Rockville Bank Robberies
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police are investigating two bank robberies in Rockville.
Police say both robberies occurred Tuesday morning, though they're not believed to be related.
The first took place around 9:35 a.m. at a SunTrust bank, where police say a man with a handgun demanded money from a teller and drove off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the satellite drive-thru.
The second occurred around 11 a.m. at a Wells Fargo branch.
Police say one suspect vaulted the counter while the other fired a shot into the ceiling. Police say the two suspects left the bank without taking any money and no one was injured.
