Man In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Truck In A Costco Parking Lot
ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a truck in the parking lot of an Elkridge Costco and left in critical condition Saturday afternoon.
The pickup truck was driving through the parking lot around 1:58 p.m. when, according to officials, it struck the pedestrian while they were crossing.
The truck continued to be driven in the parking lot before stopping.
Thirty-one-year-old Chun Yuan Cheng of Jessup was taken to Shock Trauma in critical condition.
The driver, 45-year-old Joesph Zowd was taken to Howard County General Hospital for evaluation.
Police are investigating to see if the driver suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident.
This investigation is still ongoing.
