Police Investigating Fatal Elkridge Motorcycle Crash
ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) -- A 22-year-old motorcycle driver died after crashing into a truck Tuesday afternoon in Elkridge.
It happened just after noon. The motorcycle driver was going northbound on Route 1 at Kit Kat Road when he crested the hill and collided with a truck that was attempting to make a left turn heading southbound.
Police say the motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. WJZ is withholding his name until his next of kin is notified of his death.
The driver of the truck, 53-year-old Alvarado Gonzalez, was not injured.
Police say the motorcycle's speed was a contributing factor in the crash. No charges are expected to be filed at this time.
Route 1 at Route 103 is closed as the investigation continues.
