3 Teens Injured In Dundalk Shooting
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)—It has been a very hectic past 10 hours for both Baltimore City and Baltimore County Police.
Andrea Fujii reports it all started with a fight at school that escalated to a triple shooting and then ended in a lengthy high-speed chase.
A high-speed chase ended at Reisterstown Road and Northern Parkway.
It all started around 8 p.m., when police were sent to Dundalk for a report of three people shot.
"During that call, the caller advised that the suspects were driving a black Camaro. While en route to the call, one of the officers actually saw the suspect vehicle driving north on Dundalk Avenue toward Baltimore City," said Lt. Rob McCullough, Baltimore County Police.
When the officer got behind the Camaro, the driver sped away, leading both city and county police on a lengthy chase.
A city police officer was injured as the chase ended.
WJZ spotted two men taken away from the scene in handcuffs. One suspect even smiled at the camera as he was being led into a waiting police car.
Both men were believed to be inside the black Camaro, and are considered suspects in the shooting.
"There are two teen males. They've been taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital. There's also a female in her late teens or early 20s. She's been taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital," said McCullough.
Police say the shooting is related to an argument, which happened earlier in the day at Dundalk High School.
"I know that at least one female was arrested earlier this evening around 6 p.m.," said McCullough.
Everyone injured, including the officer and the three shooting victims, are expected to survive.
It's not yet clear if those shooting victims are students at Dundalk High School.
Police are not yet able to confirm whether they've recovered any weapons or shell casings.
The Camaro is being inspected for evidence.
