Police Investigating Bethesda Bank Robbery
BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Police in Montgomery County are investigating a bank robbery in Bethesda.
Police say the robbery happened around 10 o'clock Tuesday morning when a man entered a Capital One Bank on Bethesda Avenue and demanded money. The man made off with an unknown amount of cash and fled.
Police say the bank's surveillance system captured the robbery and the suspect.
It was the second bank robbery in the county in as many days.
Police say an M&T Bank in Wheaton was held up on Monday, though the suspect in that case was caught after a foot chase and taken into custody.
