Police Investigate Stabbing At Edgewater Taco Bell
EDGEWATER, Md. (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County police are investigating a stabbing in Edgewater.
The stabbing happened on Nov. 29, at 7:43 p.m. at the Taco Bell restaurant located on the 3000-block of Solomons Island Road.
When police arrived officers discovered a 21-year-old male victim from Annapolis in the parking lot suffering from a stab wound to his upper torso.
The victim stated that a male suspect known to him stabbed him after a short physical altercation. Several witnesses stated the suspect then fled northbound on Solomons Island Road towards Annapolis in a black Chevy sedan that was occupied by two teenage females. Numerous officers, a K-9 unit and the Aviation unit canvassed the area extensively, but the suspect was not located.
The vehicle and the two female occupants were located a short time later on Central Avenue; however, the suspect remains at large and was believed to have been dropped off on Riva Road in the area of Harry Truman Parkway. The female driver was subsequently arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault and Attempted Second Degree Murder. The victim was transported via helicopter to Shock Trauma, where he was listed in critical, but stable condition.
Southern District Detectives were called to assist with the investigation. At this time, an arrest warrant has been issued for Tyrell Markell Dailey, 19, of 125 Tydings Drive, Edgewater, Maryland charging the suspect with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
